199 miles 8,100’gain
We have a double metric non California Triple Crown option
Your invited to join us for a once in a life time experience. A full lunar eclipse on the Southern Inyo Double course. The 2018 Southern Inyo Double by Moonlight is a unique cycling adventure that will give you memories you will cherish forever
The ride starts in Lone Pine, Ca at the Comfort Inn. Roll out will be at 4:00 pm with early starts available for those interested. The course will be an entirely different experience than the spring ride. Expect start temperatures in the 90’s with temps dropping into the 60’s in the wee morning hours. Expect visuals that will be unlike any you have previously experienced on night rides
The Southern Inyo by Moonlight DC course is like the Death Valley by Moonlight experiance I promoted in the 1990’s. The July full moon will allow you 100 miles or more of night vision. You will see the vibrant Sierra, Inyo, and Coso ranges as clear as day.
The Owens Lake will come alive with visual reflections of the 10,000′ to 14,000′ peaks of the surrounding mountain ranges.
The full lunar eclipse experience is scheduled for 10:20 Friday evening. That is 6 hours and 20 minutes into the ride. You will be in one of the few “Best Places” in California, possibly the world to view this event.
All riders must have legal lighting systems on their bikes with enough battery power to go the distance.
