These Hase Kettwiesel AL's with speed drive, mountain drive, and rear differential weighs in at 38 lbs.
It will be easy to remove 3 or more pounds, however they climb like mountain goats "As Is"
The only changes I have made thus far are removing the fenders. The red trike has a Mountain Drive, lighter wheels, and carbon fork. The dark gray trike has a Speed Drive.
I also removed the mechanical disc brakes and replaced them with Avid Juicy Seven hydraulic disc brakes on the gray bike and Magura carbon hydraulic disc brakes on the red bike. Living in Lone Pine the descents can exceed 13 % grade. These trikes have stopping power that equals my 2007 Toyota Tacoma's.
I enjoy riding these trikes more than any trike or bicycle I have ever ridden.
On descents the faster you go the more stable they feel.
These trikes are a gift from God. I am disabled. I have a disease called Essential Tremor. I no longer can ride a two wheeler. I thank the estate of my parents Walter and Frances Murphy, Cat Berge, Dana Lieberman at Bent Up Cycles, Jerome Hedinger at Hase Bikes, and my faith in Jesus Christ for making this possible.
I also want to thank Dr. Ben Jones and Chris Kostman for helping me get back on the road again.

in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will
direct your path. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
